Midnight Mirth
Magical moon,
stars silver dust ,
On forest of
bountiful pink flowers,
It's a fairyland
midnight mirth,
Love dominates in mighty showers.
Valentine moon in
love with night,
Stars shimmering
with delight,
Sky royal blue
reflecting light,
Symphony of cupid
burning bright.
Sonorous stream
dancing in tune,
Pebbles and
boulders drums resume,
Fairies singing
on luminous moon,
Tall trees
cheering is an endless boon.
Writers and poets
in darkness bloom ,
Penning their
thoughts in black or blue ,
Revolutions begin
to dawn in gloom ,
Midnight moments
provide many clues.
Melody of life in
passionate vision,
Mountain dews
blue eyed hope,
Journey of night
will soulmates unite,
Restless in love
wise Nature survives.
Moonlit Night
Peeping Moon like
a diamond shines,
Surrounded by
sapphire clouds,
Like a glowing
bride lifting her veil,
A lonely boat on
sea without sail.
An artistic
creation of such glitter,
A dreamland of vision matters ,
Billion stars hidden beneath cover,
Blinding eyesight
without shutters.
As the full moon
shimmers in the river,
Reflections of ripples in joy shiver,
Blue clouds join
hands to see,
As the moon
smiles proudly in glee.
Happiness
scattered on the scene ,
Dark shores
around a shining stream,
Rocks shout out in silent screams,
As sands roll out
rolling dreams.
Harsh winds
quietly put to sleep,
Dancing in the
cool summer breeze,
Romantic sky
blushes in lover's sight,
Prolongs the
solitude of moonlit night.
Night Surrenders
The night
surrenders in significant shifts ,
I stare
nonchalantly at burning lights of streets,
Indigo sky with
midnight sober and sweet,
Resplendent Moon
restores golden dreams .
Street lights
play hide and seek in disguise,
Till sensors
retreat to welcome the day ride,
Dark creatures
mingle and sneak with delight ,
Wise souls
contemplate the dark midnight.
Nature yawns in
its cosy bed to fight,
Existence
restored its energy in dark night,
Birds close their
wings till dawn's flight ,
Blank palette is
awaiting colours on white.
Darkness stoops
on its knees in dignity,
The wild wind is
calm in solitary serenity,
Roads soon
burdened by steps of humanity,
Desolation of
night will choose popularity.
The night weeps
in penitent repentance,
The celestial
orbs replace seats in silence,
Wordless lanterns
glowing ordinance,
Daylight
redeeming a full night salvation.
JYOTIRMAYA THAKUR
JYOTIRMAYA THAKUR is an
internationally renowned poet and writer of twenty-three books. She has won
numerous awards, for both her literature and humanitarian efforts. She
exemplifies the ideal that writing is more than just words on paper, it is a
means of creating positive change in the world. She started writing when she
was seven , singing the lyrics in her lonely moments to trees and fauna .As a
writer she has not been satisfied to settle on just one style, but has sought
to develop her craft by adoption and mastery of an ever increasing number of
techniques. From her early days utilising the predominant rhyming couplet in
her poetry, there has been an evolution in writing technique incorporating more
complex rhyming patterns, modern freestyle and prose. This development of craft
serves as an important lesson for new poets, that a good writer is not a static
entity, but someone who should continually strive to learn new ways of
communicating their meaning in order to avoid stylistic stagnancy.
