Barbaros İrdelmen
From The Dark
It happened so
suddenly my love
My mind left
behind
Are you lonely
sad
And miss me
Shall I send you
the breeze,
The wind, the
rain
If you feel too hot
Or beams of sun
to warm you up
My be the
moonshine
For the dark of
your night
From the world
beyond…
Translation By Huri ÖZDOĞAN
Karanlıksa
Ani ayrıldık
sevdiğim
Aklım sende kaldı
Yalnız mısın?
Mutsuz musun?
Özlüyor musun?
Söyle
Sıcaksa
Rüzgar serinlik
yağmur
Üşüyorsan güneş
Karanlıksa
gecelerin
Öte dünyadan
Aydınlık bir
mehtap
Göndereyim sana…
Stars
I like the night
More than
daylight
It is dark and
silent
The night is
feared
I am also afraid
when I am alone
Of grandeur of
the night
If I am not alone
Come here
Let us sit in the
garden
Let us count
stars
Let’s see whether
no star is missing since yesterday
The ones shooting
to the right are yours
The ones shooting
to the left are mine
I would be sad
When I consider
the fallen star is dead
When I count
stars
And to see there
is no missing star
I’d say new stars
are born
To replace the
dead ones
I get rejoiced…

YILDIZLAR
Ben geceyi
Gündüzden çok
severim
Karanlık ve
sessiz olur
Korkulur geceden
Ben de korkarım
yalnızken
Gecenin
heybetinden
Yalnız değilsem
Hadi gel
Oturalım bahçede
Sayalım
yıldızları
Bakalım eksilen
var mı dünden
Sağa kayanlar
senin
Sola kayanlar
benim
Kayan yıldızın
öldüğünü düşünür
Üzülürüm
Sayınca
yıldızları
Eksik çıkmazsa
Ölenlerin yerine
Yeni yıldızlar
doğmuş der
Sevinirim…
Lover
While in
anticipation
Her scent speeds
up my pulse
Leaning her head
onto my shoulder
And her shy smile
Her sweet voice
If she runs into
me suddenly, I would be out of breath
When we meet
I get tongue-tied
I break out into
a sweat
A flame engulfs
my body
I go blank
I feel my ears
burning
I get pale
I dither
I feel like jelly
Out of excitement
I am about to
tumble down
As it is the case
in all our meetings
I am aware of the
fact at this night
That I will die
again in her arms…

Sevgili
Beklerken
Kokusu
hızlandırır kalbimi
Başını omuzuma
yaslayıp ta
Hele o mahcup
gülüşü
O tatlı sesi
Birden karşıma
çıksa kesilir nefesim
Buluşunca
Tutulur dilim
Ter basar
Bir alev sarar
bedenimi
Gözlerim kararır
Uğuldar
kulaklarım
Solar rengim
Titrer elim ayağım
Dizlerimin bağı çözülür
Heyecandan
Yıkıldım yıkılacağım
Her buluşmamızda olduğu gibi
Biliyorum bu gece de
Yine kollarında öleceğim…
