It Wouldn't Be The Light
I'll sing hymns
to the moon
that timid lights
up
as sickle coy
and then
sovereign shines.
In the sea of
pitch it glimmers,
like a tremulous
band
life to
itself recalling.
Motherly led
my steps in the
dark
avoiding to
stumble.
I will sing songs
at night
that extends
tentacles of shadows
pitiful darkening
evil.
Without the
darkness
it wouldn't be
light.
NON SAREBBE LA
LUCE
Canterò inni alla
luna
che timida
s’accende
come falce
ritrosa
e poi sovrana
risplende.
Nel mare di pece
balugina,
come tremula
fascia
vita a se’
richiamando.
Guida materna
nel buio i miei
passi
l’inciampo
evitando.
Leverò canti alla
notte
che allunga
tentacoli d’ombre
pietosa il male
oscurando.
Ché senza le
tenebre
non sarebbe la
luce.
Dusk
The soul as a
Black shadow
looks out to
your departure,
eerie bat
at the twilight
of a love.
Slow the evening
darkens
your smile.
In the dark
your eyes blur.
Aware insult
without dawn
the long night.
CREPUSCOLO
Ombra nera
s’affaccia
all’anima
la tua partenza,
lugubre
pipistrello
al crepuscolo di
un amore.
Lenta la sera
il tuo sorriso
scurisce.
Col buio
si confondono i
tuoi occhi.
Consapevole
affronto
senz’alba
la lunga notte.
Let The Night Come
I blindfolded
so that the light
does not pierce my eyes.
I pursed my lips
because I have
only silences.
I buried the
heart
so as not to hear
the beats.
Without me,
let the night
come.
Sopraggiunga La
Notte
Ho bendato gli
occhi
perché la luce
non li trafigga.
Ho serrato le labbra
perché ho solo
silenzi.
Ho seppellito il
cuore
per non sentirne
i battiti.
Senza di me,
sopraggiunga la
notte.
