The Parisian Rains…

Everything about France is so romantic

The Eiffel, the champagne and the French kiss!

That early spring when it rained at midnight

The Eiffel drenched in luminescence bright

Standing on Tocadero watching the divine magic

The rain or the cold did not matter at all!

Palms clasped, warm breaths mingling;

The vows of commitment till eternity.

Shivering, holding each other tight

The city of amour their love abides:

Those dazzling lights of yellow and orange,

Those effulgent amorous glances:

That cold midnight had blazed with passion!

That was two decades back!

Now alone in a crowd of revelers,

The echoes of that Parisian shower rung:

In the breeze, the fragrance of that love story hung

Her entire being quivered at his touch;

She could feel him around, his warm breath,

If only this midnight moment could defy death!

Unrequitted

Those midnight music

Eluded her sleep

The rumbling of the wind

The squall of nostalgia within!

The sun kissed valley

The toy train chugging through the rows of pines

The fragrance of the cestrum, the inebriating feel;

Two hearts beating in warm zeal!

The crumpled bed sheet,

A witness to their fervent passion;

Those midnight moments of effusions

All Stories of the yesteryears!

Now like the Egyptian desert remnant:

The pyramids of a treasured past.

Ravaged by time euphonious dust

Blow over piercing the eyes!

The roar of the airplane above,

 It is twelve; he must have left!

That painful unspoken goodbye;

Sighs! The emptiness of the night intensifies!

Arcane Desires….

The torrent subsided

Raindrops still fell,

The moon struggled to free itself

From the clenched fists of

The ominous clouds

The Stars fled in fear

Of Jove’s wrath:

As he flashed his lightning bolt;

The owl on the tree top screeched

The novel on the pillow beside

The emptiness of the bed

Some arcane desires

Halcyon; stark reminder

Of youthful crust

Shattered!

Is Juno peacefully asleep?
