Lonesome Traveler

I am a lonesome traveler

But for cold breezes for company

On a winter's day

I look at the skies

Throw my prayers in the air

The sun plays peekaboo

Humanity on the trail

In the midnight moments

The night’s coldest hour

A search for elusive warmth

Tell Me No Bedtime Tale

The Cinderella hour came and went

It’s way past midnight, someone said

The millennial generation

Gets no sleep

The children of the city

Were fed horror and gore

Nothing frightens

Nor fascinates

They grew up

Without wide eyed taste

For wonderland

The adults pace up and down

The corridor to reconcile

The world of then

And now

The lights on the blink

Midnight moments

In this town

Come without fairy tales

On Your Finger Tips

My breasts are heavy

It is midnight

They heave

Staring at the round moon

Desires

On this planet

Too many

Like the stars

On a clear sky night

Of which I have lost count
